The Nissan Micra returns electrified. The new generation of the small car is scheduled to launch in Europe at the end of 2025.
The Nissan Micra is back. As a full-electric car, it is intended to shake up the B-segment and is part of Nissan's new product offensive in Europe. A total of four electric cars are to be launched on the market by 2027.
- Based on the Renault 5 E-Tech
- Two battery sizes: 40 and 52 kWh
- Up to 408 km range
- Google-based infotainment
- Sales start in Europe at the end of 2025
As a small electric car, the Nissan Micra expands the selection of urban mobility. Although the Nissan Micra is closely related to the Renault 5 E-Tech, the Japanese manufacturer is setting some of its own accents.

New Nissan Micra 2025 – Exterior Design
The new Nissan Micra comes up with a new fresh design with some SUV borrowings, so that the small car could also pass as a crossover. Above all, the highlighted wheel arches and the trim strips on the sides, together with the 18-inch wheels, create a more adventurous look. Despite the innovations, Nissan is also remembering tradition, so that the iconic headlights remain at the front.

There are also round lighting elements at the rear, which tie in with the design of the front and make the Nissan Micra easily recognizable from the rear.

The slightly playful exterior is also reflected in the choice of paint finishes. There are a total of 14 different colour combinations, as in addition to the 6 colours, there are also two-tone paint finishes with black or grey roofs to choose from.
New Nissan Micra 2025 – Drive and battery
The Nissan Micra comes with two different battery sizes: 40 and 52 kWh. This means that the small car has a range of 310 or 408 km according to WLTP. The battery sizes are linked to two different motorizations. 90 kW of power and 225 Nm of torque for the 40 kWh and 110 kW and 245 Nm for the 52 kWh.

In terms of charging power, the new Micra offers up to 100 kW (80 kW for the small version) with the larger battery and thus takes 30 minutes to charge from 15 to 80%. As standard, the Micra is also equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, so that external devices can be operated via the car battery.
New Nissan Micra 2025 – Interior and infotainment
In the interior, Nissan relies on a three-spoke steering wheel and a 10.1-inch display for the driver. In addition, a touchscreen for the infotainment is centrally installed, which measures 7 or 10.1 inches depending on the equipment and is inclined towards the driver's side.

In terms of space, the Micra is not as narrow as expected despite its dimensions (3.97 m x 1.77 m), as its wheelbase of 2.56 meters increases the interior and thus provides 326 liters of trunk space even with the rear seat in use. With the rear seats folded down, there is then up to 1,106 litres of space for bulky items or removals.

For infotainment, Nissan relies on integration with Google services such as Google Maps or the Google Play App Store. This allows users to access all familiar apps with their personal Google account and have access to Google Maps, their favorite music or the Google voice assistant even without a mobile phone. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are also on board, so that your own mobile phone can also be integrated if necessary. The Nissan app can then also be used to control charging processes or the air conditioning.
